PRF stimulates your body to grow new cells and promotes healing when injected into the skin. Our PRF procedure uses a person’s own blood to create a mixture of growth factors and stem cells to help stimulate natural healing and cell growth. This treatment uses ONLY your blood. There are absolutely no additives such as anticoagulants, chemicals, or fillers.

Our clinician will draw your blood and spin it at select speeds. This spinning process separates the cells that are rich in growth factors which are then used in your treatment. When PRF is placed back into the skin by microneedling or injection, it activates growth factors which can promote faster healing time, stimulate skin renewal, and can maximize your results overall.

If you have decided to move forward with the PRF procedure in our office, the first appointment begins with a blood draw. This blood draw is then placed in a machine to separate the components and create the liquid mixture. This mixture is injected or microneedled into the area of concern or used as a serum post procedure.

The recovery after a PRF treatment is minimal. Patients may experience mild swelling, bruising, or soreness around the injection site. This should subside after a few days. We do recommend patients relax and refrain from exercising at least 24-48 hours after their treatment. Avoid aspirin or ibuprofen for one week prior to the procedure. This can cause bruising and may interfere with the treatment.

PRF treatment helps to improve skin texture and tone, and softens lines. PRF tightens your skin and gives you that beautiful glow. Patients can see results typically 3-4 weeks after their treatment. We typically recommend 3-4 treatments for best results.
